Sarah Kukes grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, then moved to Arizona where she earned a BFA in Dance Production in 2004 from ASU, followed by certifications in Massage Therapy from Phoenix Therapeutic Massage College & Personal Training from the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2006. After working primarily with dancers and other athletes as both production manager & massage therapist, Sarah moved to Edmonds, Washington and began focusing on personal & group training at Harbor Square Athletic Club with a bit of massage on the side. When the pandemic hit, Sarah realized she could safely follow DOH protocols and provide much-needed massage therapy & training services to high-risk individuals, so she started a home-based business. As the pandemic shifted, Sarah shifted to focus fully on massage. She earned her RockTape (kinesiology taping), RockPods (cupping), RockFloss (soft tissue manipulation with bands), and RockBlades (scraping) certifications over recent years, and she integrates these techniques into her massage sessions. Sarah isn’t known for her light touch, but that doesn’t mean her sessions can’t be relaxing while also being therapeutic. She believes in keeping the intensity of each session in a range that doesn’t add stress to the body or mind. As long as you are breathing well and aren’t clenching your jaw or glutes, Sarah is happy to dig an elbow in, but she’s also fond of people snoring & drooling in relaxation on her table! In her spare time, Sarah enjoys snowboarding, rock climbing, and hiking, and just moved to Kingston to live a bit more immersed in nature. She is excited to be able to work with people on both sides of Puget Sound now.
